Indoor/Outdoor Pool
The Owner's Club offers a beautiful indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor activity pool has a double slide and in-pool seating area; the zero-entry kiddy pool has bubblers and a frog slide for the kids to enjoy, and the indoor pool is open for swimming year-round.
Lake Galena & Marina
One of The Galena Territory's most cherished amenities is Lake Galena, a scenic 225-acre man-made lake perfect for anglers and boaters who enjoy observing nature on leisurely cruises. It boasts some of the best fishing in the area, with an abundance of smallmouth and largemouth bass, walleye, bluegill, channel catfish, perch and tiger muskie.
Be sure to watch for its many feathered friends… eagles, owls, ospreys, blue herons, ducks and wild turkeys. Wildlife, in addition to the abundant fish and turtles, often includes white tail deer, red fox, beavers and muskrats.
Greenspace & Trails
More than 1,700 acres of Greenspace (open spaces) scattered throughout The Territory are maintained as natural habitat and protected from future development, including the 7-mile shoreline of Lake Galena. Wild turkey, white-tailed deer and red fox are frequently seen, along with hawks and eagles soaring overhead. Woods and meadows are lush with grasses, flowers, ferns, shrubs and trees May through October. With 24 miles of trails winding through Greenspace, hikers can spend a day enjoying the serenity and solitude that only nature can provide.
Shanandoah Riding Center
Trail rides and more all within The Galena Territories. Only a mile or so down the road from DunPuttin Place. The Shenandoah Riding Center is a first-rate equine facility with a top caliber staff. Our location in The Galena Territory makes it unrivaled for scenic trails and tranquil beauty. From seasoned equestrians to beginning horse enthusiasts of all ages, we have something to offer for everyone!
Owner's Club Complex
The Owners' Club Complex overlooks a wide valley in the heart of The Galena Territory and houses recreational facilities for year-round enjoyment.
The Pool/Recreation Complex includes a state-of-the-art fitness center with a spectacular view of the valley, spacious locker rooms with a “dry” side for fitness center visitors and a “wet” side for pool visitors, a café with indoor and outdoor patio seating, and of course, three great pools!
